All Nation Security Services Inc. accused of using illegal uniform policy

Law money 06

SACRAMENTO – A security guard for various locations in Sacramento County alleges his employer violated state labor codes.

Rodrick Saunders filed a complaint on behalf of himself and all others similarly situated on Jan. 5 in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of California against All Nation Security Services Inc. and Does 1-10 alleging violation of the California Labor Codes and the Unfair Competition Law.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that he was employed by the defendant as a non-exempt employee and was strictly required to purchase uniforms, such as shirts, pants, boots, handcuffs, coats and jackets, from the defendant to wear and was not refunded. He alleges the wage statements provided by the defendants do not show all wages earned, all hours worked, or all applicable rates.

The plaintiff holds All Nation Security Services Inc. and Does 1-10 responsible because the defendants allegedly failed to reimburse employees for costs of uniforms/tools, failed to provide employees with true and proper wage statements, and failed to promptly pay compensation owing to employees upon termination of their employment.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seek judgment against defendant, certify case as a class action, compensatory and liquidated damages, civil and statutory penalties, constructive trust and/or disgorgement of ill-gotten gains, injunctive relief, interest, attorneys’ fees and costs, and further relief as the court may deem necessary. He is represented by Christina A. Humphrey and Thomas A. Rist of Humphrey & Rist LLP in Santa Barbara and James Clark of Tower Legal Group APC in Sacramento.
