Copyright 10

LOS ANGELES – A Los Angeles company claims its fabric design was used in clothing without permission.

Neman Bros. & Assoc. Inc. filed a complaint on Jan. 18 in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California against La Main Connection Inc., doing business as Espresso; Ross Stores Inc.; and Does 1-10 alleging copyright infringement.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that it suffered damages to its business from having its designs copied. The plaintiff holds La Main Connection Inc., Ross Stores Inc. and Does 1-10 responsible because the defendants allegedly marketed and offered for sale garments made out of fabrics that feature plaintiff's NB121214X-R design.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks enjoin the defendants from further infringing plaintiff's design, all profits, statutory damages, all legal fees plus interest, and any other relief as the court deems just. It is represented by C. Yong Jeong, Amy Choe and Ryan N. Ostrowski of Jeong & Likens LC in Los Angeles.
