Eqyss Grooming Products Inc. alleges Pet+Me mark infringes its marks

LOS ANGELES – A Vista corporation alleges three companies are using a mark similar to its own to market pet grooming products.

Eqyss Grooming Products Inc. filed a complaint on Jan. 17 in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California, Western Division against Groomy-USA LTD, Swesco Holding GMBH, Purrfect Paws Grooming and Does 1-10 alleging trademark infringement.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that it owns the Pet Me and If You Love Me Pet Me trademarks. The plaintiff holds Groomy-USA LTD, Swesco Holding GMBH, Purrfect Paws Grooming and Does 1-10 responsible because the defendants' Pet+Me mark on grooming brushes allegedly is likely to cause confusion, deception and mistake in the marketplace

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks enjoin the defendants, order the destruction of allegedly infringing materials, actual damages, profits, $2 million per counterfeit mark, exemplary and punitive damages, all legal fees plus interest and any other relief as this court deems just. It is represented by Jeffrey G. Sheldon and Katherine M. Bond of Leech Tishman Fuscaldo & Lampl in Pasadena.
