RIVERSIDE – A Riverside County man has filed suit against his former employer over an alleged discrepancy in his pension.

Thomas Sperduto filed a complaint on Jan. 24 in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California against the Time Warner Cable Inc., doing business as Spectrum, and Does 1 through 20 citing the Employee Retirement Income Security Act.

The plaintiff claims that he filed a claim in June 2015 for additional pension benefits and questioned the amounts, but the claim was denied in September 2015, as has an appeal.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks declare plaintiff's rights to monthly pension benefits in the amount of $2,248.16, all legal fees, interest, surcharge, restitution, and any other relief as the court deems just. He is represented by Carson C. Newton of Law Offices of Carson C. Newton in Anaheim.
