LOS ANGELES – A Los Angeles County consumer alleges a debt collector contacted her without her express consent.

Virginia Teslik filed a complaint on Feb. 3 in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California against ABC Financial Services Inc. and Does 1-5 citing the Telephone Consumer Protection Act.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that in September 2016, she suffered damages from receiving several collection calls from the defendant. The plaintiff holds ABC Financial Services Inc. and Does 1-5 responsible because the defendants allegedly kept on calling plaintiff's cellular telephone without getting prior consent.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks statutory damages, and any other relief as the court deems just. She is represented by Patric A. Lester of Lester & Associates in San Diego.
