LOS ANGELES – Two Indiana men are accused of selling unauthorized motion pictures on eBay.
20th Century Fox Film Corp. and Warner Bros. Home Entertainment Inc. filed a complaint on Feb. 13 in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California against Keith Graber; Allan Knepp, also known as William A. Knepp; and Does 1-10, alleging copyright infringement.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that they suffered damages to their business from having their motion pictures copied and sold without their authority by the defendants. The plaintiff holds Graber, Knepp and Does 1-10 responsible because the defendants allegedly made copies of plaintiff's motion pictures and sold them on eBay without authority from the plaintiff to consumers.
The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks enjoin the defendants from further infringing plaintiff's works, seize all infringing materials, pay actual damages, statutory damages, all profits, all legal fees and any other relief as the court deems just. They are represented by J. Andrew Coombs and Annie S. Wang of J. Andrew Coombs, A Prof. Corp in Glendale.
