eBay user alleged to sell unauthorized TV shows, films

LOS ANGELES – A Seattle eBay user is accused of selling unauthorized copies of TV shows and movies.

20th Century Fox Film Corp. and Warner Bros. Home Entertainment Inc. filed a complaint on Feb. 13 in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California against Kristin Carlson and Does 1-10 alleging copyright infringement.

According to the complaint, the plaintiffs allege that they suffered damages to their business from having their motion pictures copied and sold without their authority. The plaintiffs holds Carlson and Does 1-10 responsible because the defendants allegedly made copies of plaintiffs' works and sold them without authority from the plaintiffs to consumers.

The plaintiffs request a trial by jury and seek enjoin the defendants from further infringing plaintiffs' works, seize all infringing materials, pay actual damages, profits, all legal fees and any other relief as the court deems just. They are represented by J. Andrew Coombs and Annie S. Wang of J. Andrew Coombs, A Prof. Corp. in Glendale.
