Warner Bros. accuses Indiana eBay seller of copyright infringement

LOS ANGELES – An Indiana man that does business on eBay as "chingbong" is accused of selling unauthorized motion pictures.

Warner Bros. Home Entertainment Inc. filed a complaint on Feb. 13 in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California against William Walter and Does 1-10 alleging copyright infringement.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that it suffered damages to its business from having its works copied and reproduced without its consent. The plaintiff holds Walter and Does 1-10 responsible because the defendants allegedly made copies of plaintiff's motion pictures and sold them to consumers on eBay.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks enjoin the defendants from further infringing plaintiff's works, seize all infringing items, pay actual damages, statutory damages, profits, all legal fees and any other relief as the court deems just.
