LOS ANGELES – A California business claims it was not paid for its work on a federal project.
United States of America, for the use and benefit of Glendale Plumbing & Fire Supply Inc., filed a complaint on Feb. 15 in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California against Radix Fire Protection Inc., Cal-City Construction Inc. and Western Surety Co. alleging breach of contract.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that Glendale Plumbing & Fire Supply Inc. suffered monetary damages to its business from not being paid for its work on a federal project in Mather in July 2016. The plaintiff holds Radix Fire Protection Inc., Cal-City Construction Inc. and Western Surety Co. responsible because the defendants allegedly breached their contractual agreement with Glendale Plumbing & Fire Supply Inc. by failing to pay them plus interest.
The plaintiff seeks damages in the sum of $21,689.29 plus interest at the rate of 10 percent, all legal fees and any other relief as the court deems just. They are represented by Kirk S. MacDonald of Gill and Baldwin, P.C. in Glendale.
