SAN FRANCISCO – Two fine jewelers allege a Florida company and individual have unlawfully accused them of copyright infringement.
Marco Bicego USA Inc. and Marco Bicego S.P.A. filed a complaint on Feb. 23 in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California against Kantis Holdings LLC, Stephanie Kantis and Does 1 through 100 alleging unfair competition and other counts.
According to the complaint, the plaintiffs allege that they manufacture jewelry under the Jaipur Link brand. The plaintiffs hold Kantis Holdings LLC, Kantis and Does 1 through 100 responsible because the defendants allegedly claim that the plaintiffs are infringing their mark, which the plaintiffs deny.
The plaintiffs request a trial by jury and seek damages, injunction, interest, all legal fees and any other relief as the court deems just. They are represented by Antonio Valla, Michael Purcell and Stefano Abbasciano of Valla & Associates Inc. P.C. in San Francisco.
