SAN FRANCISCO – A Pasadena company claims its website was copied by two Texas individuals.
OrionClick LLC filed a complaint on Feb. 8 in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California against Kelvin Inocent; Yma Inocent; Iron Peak Holdings LLC, doing business as ConcealedAmericaOnline.com; and Does 1 through 10 alleging copyright infringement.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff is the owner of ConcealedOnline.com, which provides an online training course for handgun owners. The plaintiff holds Kelvin Inocent; Yma Inocent; Iron Peak Holdings LLC, doing business as ConcealedAmericaOnline.com; and Does 1 through 10 responsible because the defendants allegedly used the same graphics, typeface, coding and text on their website.
The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks statutory damages of $150,000, actual damages, profits, all legal fees and any other relief as the court deems just. It is represented by Karl S. Kronenberger, Jeffrey M. Rosenfeld and Virginia A. Sanderson of Kronenberger Rosenfeld LLP in San Francisco.
