C&SM Int'l alleges textile prints were used without its permission

Copyright 07

LOS ANGELES – A South Korea corporation claims its copyrighted textile designs were used in fabric for garments without its authorization.

C&SM Int'l filed a complaint on Feb. 22 in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California against Sportswear Group LLC; Ross Stores Inc., doing business as dd's Discounts; and Does 1-10 alleging copyright infringement.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that it suffered damages to its business from having its design used on other fabrics. The plaintiff holds Sportswear Group LLC; Ross Stores Inc., doing business as dd's Discounts; and Does 1-10 responsible because the defendants allegedly sold products that bear plaintiff's fabric designs.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks to enjoin the defendants, all profits, statutory damages, all legal fees, interest and any other relief as the court deems just. It is represented by C. Yong Jeong and Amy Choe of Jeong & Likens LC in Los Angeles.
