SAN FRANCISCO – A Calabasas furniture manufacturer claims a Fremont corporation is unlawfully using its trademarks.
Abbyson Living Corp. filed a complaint on Feb. 15 in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California against Lifestyle Solutions Inc. alleging trademark infringement and other counts.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that it sells furniture collections under the registered trademarks of Venezia and Montecito. The plaintiff holds Lifestyle Solutions Inc. responsible because the defendant allegedly its selling furniture under the same marks as plaintiff's distinctive marks to trade upon the plaintiff's reputation.
The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment in its favor, to enjoin the defendant, damages, attorney's fees, costs of suit, and further relief as the court deems just. It is represented by David C. Lee and Ilse C. Scott of Michelman & Robinson LLP in San Francisco.
