Riverside County resident alleged to owe more than $4,000 on loan

LOS ANGELES – A Riverside County individual is alleged to have defaulted on a student loan.

United States of America, acting on behalf of the Department of Education, filed a complaint on Feb. 22 in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California against Ardent White, also known as Ardent White-Graham, alleging failure to pay.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that White failed to fulfill an obligation to pay dues under the executed promissory note.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against defendant in the principal amount of $4,971.75, plus interest accrued to Feb. 15 in the sum of $13,203.80 with interest accruing thereafter at 9 percent per annum, interest, administration charges, attorney's fees and accrued costs. It is represented by Kathryn E. Van Houten of Irsfeld, Irsfeld & Younger LLP in Glendale.
