LOS ANGELES – A Los Angeles photography company claims its photos were unlawfully used online.

Michael Grecco Productions Inc. filed a complaint on March 3 in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California against MoviePilot Inc., Creators Media Inc. and Does 1-10 alleging copyright infringement.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that the defendants have reproduced three of its works on moviepilot.com without permission. The plaintiff holds MoviePilot Inc., Creators Media Inc. and Does 1-10 responsible because the defendants allegedly caused plaintiff to suffer lost profits and damages to its business.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against defendants, $150,000 in statutory damages, actual damages, interest, preliminary and a permanent injunction, costs of suit, attorneys' fees, constructive trust, and further relief as the court may deem just. It is represented by Elliot B. Gipson and Steven G. Edwards of Fayer Gibson LLP in Los Angeles.
