Adobe Systems Inc. alleges two corporations use unlicensed versions of software

SAN FRANCISCO – An Orange corporation and a Fullerton corporation are accused of using unauthorized versions of Adobe software.

Adobe Systems Inc. filed a complaint on March 9 in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California against Mobovida LLC, Wireless Emporium Inc. and Eugene Ku alleging copyright infringement.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that it suffered damages to its business from the used of illegal copies of its software. The plaintiff holds Mobovida LLC, Wireless Emporium Inc. and Ku responsible because the defendants allegedly copied and reproduced plaintiff's products without purchasing licenses.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks enjoin the defendants, damages, statutory damages, profits, all legal fees and any other relief as the court deems just. It is represented by Julie E. Hofer and Andrew S. Mackay of Donahue Fitzgerald LLP in Oakland.
