California business accuses Texas competitor of copyright infringement

LOS ANGELES — A California business is suing a Texas competitor, alleging copyright infringement.

Classic Concepts Inc. filed a complaint March 8 in U.S. District Court for the Central District of California against Jodhpur, Inc. and Dr. Vivek, alleging they copied plaintiff's designs in order to compete with it.

According to the complaint, Classic Concepts sustained damages to its business because the defendants copied photos from the plaintiff's catalogs, including images from their website to advertise its own business and products.

Classic Concepts seeks trial by jury, enjoin the defendant, restitution, enhanced damages, interest, punitive/ exemplary damages, court costs and all further relief this court grants. It is represented by attorney Paul S. Marks of Neufeld Marks in Los Angeles.
