Air France passenger alleges toes were almost amputated by seat

LOS ANGELES An airline passenger alleges he suffered injuries because of a malfunctioning seat.

Sahibzada Akhtar filed a complaint on March 14 in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California against Air France-KLM, Airbus Americas Inc., et al. alleging strict products liability, negligence and breach of implied warranty.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that in March 12, 2016, he was a passenger on Air France Flight AF0065 from Los Angeles and suffered serious injuries when his reclining chair failed to stop, causing his legs to be pinned against the front seat and almost amputating his toes.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks general damages, special damages, interest, and any other relief as the court deems just. He is represented by Sepehr Daghighian and Pedram Zivari of Law Offices of Sepehr Daghighian PC in Beverly Hills.
