San Diego resident alleges Symetra Life Insurance denied proper claim

Contract 09

SAN DIEGO — A San Diego woman is suing Symetra Life Insurance Co. and Does 1-10, citing alleged breach of contract.

Lisa De Bruzzi filed a complaint on March 20 in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of California against the defendants alleging that they denied her claim for disability benefits.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that she became disabled and made a proper claim for disability benefits but was denied. The plaintiff holds Symetra Life Insurance and Does 1-10 responsible because the defendants allegedly breached their contractual obligation by refusing to pay plaintiff's disability benefits.

The plaintiff seeks benefits, interest, reinstatement of long term disability benefits, and any other relief as this court deems just. She is represented by John W. Tower of Law Office of John W. Tower in Encinitas.
