SAN DIEGO – A couple has filed suit against a Riverside County over alleged damages from a motor vehicle accident in San Diego.
John Shireling and Angela Shireling filed a complaint on March 30 in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of California against the United States of America and Merlin Dale Bozone alleging negligence and loss of consortium.
According to the complaint, the plaintiffs allege that on April 21, 2016, John Shireling suffered serious physical injuries from being involved in a vehicular accident on state Route 52 with Bozone, a California Air National Guard employee, which caused his vehicle to roll over several times. The plaintiffs hold United States of America and Bozone responsible because the defendant's employee allegedly operated his vehicle at a dangerous speed. Angela Shireling alleges she lost the consortium of her husband.
The plaintiffs seek general damages, all medical expenses, all legal fees, and any other relief as the court deems just. They are represented by Donald G. Liddy and Paula Jovell of Liddy Law Firm in Pasadena.
