Tacori claims former authorized retailer continues to use its marks

LOS ANGELES – A Glendale jewelry corporation alleges a Michigan jeweler continues to unlawfully use its marks.

Tacori Enterprises filed a complaint on March 29 in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California against Darakjian Jewelers Inc. alleging breach of contract and trademark infringement.

According to the complaint, the defendant was a former authorized retailer of Tacori jewelry. The plaintiff holds Darakjian Jewelers Inc. responsible because the defendant allegedly continues to use the Tacori display, copyrights and trademarks despite the fact that it is no longer a retailer.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks enjoin the defendant, damages, profits, disgorgement, all profits, exemplary or punitive damages, all legal fees and any other relief as this court deems just. It is represented by Howard A. Kroll of Tucker Ellis LLP in Los Angeles.
