Little G.I. Joe's Inc. alleged to sell counterfeit Eye Safety Systems products

LOS ANGELES – A Foothill Ranch manufacturer of protective eyewear alleges a Virginia business is selling counterfeit reproductions of its products.

Eye Safety Systems Inc. filed a complaint on March 29 in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California against Little G.I. Joe's Inc. and Does 1-10 citing trademark infringement.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that it suffered damages to its business and reputation from having its mark used on counterfeit products. The plaintiff holds Little G.I. Joe's Inc. and Does 1-10 responsible because the defendants allegedly sells counterfeit versions of the plaintiff's ESS marks and Crossbow marks.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks enjoin the defendants, order the defendants to recall all infringing products for destruction, award damages, and profits to the plaintiff, treble damages, statutory damages, interest, all legal fees and any other relief as the court deems just.
