Woman alleges injuries after accident in Antioch with USPS employee

Car accident 26

SAN FRANCISCO – A Contra Costa County resident alleges she was injured when her vehicle was rear-ended by a U.S. Postal Service employee.

Daphine Griffin filed a complaint on March 29 in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California against United States Postal Service and Does 1-100 alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on April 17, 2015, she suffered physical injuries from being involved in a vehicular accident with an employee of the defendant in Antioch. The plaintiff holds United States Postal Service and Does 1-100 responsible because the defendant's employee allegedly failed to keep a proper lookout and operated the vehicle at an excessive rate of speed.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks general damages, special damages, all medical expenses, all legal fees and any other relief as the court deems just. She is represented by Charles D. Caraway of Goyette & Associates Inc. in Gold River.
