SACRAMENTO – An Alameda corporation is accused of failing to pay contributions.
Trustees on behalf of Teamsters Benefit Trust filed a complaint on March 29 in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California against Event Productions, Inc., and Denis Egan citing the National Labor Relations Act and the Employee Retirement Income Security Act.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that it suffered damages due to unpaid and late paid contributions from the defendants. The plaintiff holds Event Productions Inc. and Egan responsible because the defendants allegedly breached their agreement with the plaintiff.
The plaintiff seeks delinquent contributions due and owing, unpaid liquidated damages in the amount of $6,819.76, interest on the unpaid contributions, all legal fees, unpaid monthly installment payments, late fees and waived fees in the amount of $14,579.66, and any other relief as the court deems just.
