SACRAMENTO — Three employees have filed a class-action lawsuit against Cenergy International Services LLC, citing alleged unpaid wages and violation of workers compensation acts.

Donnie Cummings, Christopher Jones and Charles Beaty filed a complaint on behalf of others similarly situated on April 5 in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of California against Cenergy alleging that the employer failed to pay fair wages to the plaintiffs. The employees worked as consultants for Chevron through Cenergy.

According to the complaint, the plaintiffs allege that they worked for more than 40 hours a week without being paid any overtime compensation. The plaintiffs holds the defendant responsible because it allegedly failed to pay the plaintiff any overtime premium for working more than 40 hours per week.

The plaintiffs seek all legal fees, leave to add additional plaintiffs by motion and any other relief as the court deems just. They are represented by Matthew C. Helland and Daniel S. Brome of Nichols Kaster LLP in San Francisco.
