Corlay LLC's bottle Koozie alleged to infringe CamCal Enterprises' patent

LOS ANGELES – A Manhattan Beach company alleges a Chatsworth company sells an infringing product.

Camcal Enterprises LLC, doing business as Bottlekeeper, filed a complaint on April 3, in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California against Corlay LLC alleging patent infringement.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that it suffered damages from having its patent No. '527, titled Protective Bottle Enclosure, infringed. The plaintiff holds Corlay LLC responsible because the defendant's Stainless Steel Bottle Koozie allegedly infringes the plaintiff's patent.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks enjoin the defendant, compensatory damages, all legal fees and any other relief as the court deems just. It is represented by Lawrence R. LaPorte of Manatt, Phelps & Phillips LLP in Los Angeles and by Charles A. Kertell of the same firm in Costa Mesa.
