LOS ANGELES – A Los Angeles corporation is alleged to have infringed a Manhattan Beach company's patented bottle design.
Camcal Enterprises LLC, doing business as BottleKeeper, filed a complaint on April 3 in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California against Glaciio Inc. alleging patent infringement.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that it suffered damages to its business as the result of its '527 patent, titled Protective Bottle Enclosure, being infringed. The plaintiff holds Glaciio Inc. responsible because the defendant sells its Beer Bottle Cooler product that allegedly infringes plaintiff's patent.
The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks enjoin the defendant, compensatory damages, all legal fees, interest, and any other relief as the court deems just. It is represented by Lawrence R. LaPorte of Manatt, Phelps & Phillips LLP in Los Angeles.
