LOS ANGELES – A Los Angeles County corporation alleges unauthorized reproductions of its copyrighted designs were manufactured and sold.
Fabric Selection Inc. filed a complaint on April 5 in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California against All Fashions Clothing Inc., Ross Stores Inc. and Does 1 through 10 alleging copyright infringement.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that it suffered damages from having its fabric design copied without its permission. The plaintiff holds All Fashions Clothing Inc., Ross Stores Inc. and Does 1 through 10 responsible because the defendants allegedly sold garments that feature plaintiff's designs.
The plaintiff seeks injunction against the defendants, order to recall and destruction of all garments that feature plaintiff's designs, actual damages, profits, statutory damages, all legal fees and any other relief as the court deems just. It is represented by Michael C. Baum, Andrew V. Jablon and Stacey N. Knox of Resch Polster & Berger LLP in Los Angeles.
