LOS ANGELES – A labor union is seeking an audit of a construction company.
Carpenters Southwest Administrative Corp. and board of trustees for the Carpenters Southwest Trust filed a complaint on April 5 in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California against Juan C. Romero, doing business as JCR Interiors, and Does 1 through 10 citing the Labor-Management Relations Act and the Employee Retirement Income Security Act.
According to the complaint, the plaintiffs allege that the parties entered into an agreement. The plaintiffs hold Romero, doing business as JCR Interiors, and Does 1 through 10 responsible because the defendants allegedly breached their bargaining agreement with the plaintiff by failing to allow an audit.
The plaintiffs seek order the defendant to submit to a completion of an audit, all legal fees, contributions and any other relief as the court deems just. They are represented by Thomas Davis and Jodi Siegner of DeCarlo & Shanley in Los Angeles.
