Phone 03

LOS ANGELES – A Palmdale consumer alleges a debt collector kept calling her after she revoked her consent.

Elaine Moreno filed a complaint on April 6 in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California against Synchrony Bank alleging violation of the Telephone Consumer Protection Act and the Rosenthal Fair Debt Collection Practices Act.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that beginning in November 2016, she suffered damages from receiving several collection calls from the defendant. The plaintiff holds Synchrony Bank responsible because the defendant allegedly kept on calling plaintiff despite verbally revoking her consent.

The plaintiff seeks $1,000 in statutory damages, actual damages, all legal fees, interest, and any other relief as the court deems just. She is represented by Stuart Price of Price Law Group APC in Encino.
