SAN FRANCISCO – Two Vallejo corporations allege their former general counsel took confidential communications without authorization.
Polymathic Properties Inc. and Meyer Corporation U.S. filed a complaint on March 27 in the San Francisco County Superior against Dean Luca Krause, Cheuk Lin Chiu and Does 1 through 25 alleging breach of contract.
According to the complaint, Krause served as general counsel for the plaintiffs from 2003 to 2017 and was president of Polymathic Properties from 2011 to 2017. The suit states he was terminated on March 10 because of a breach of fiduciary duties. The plaintiffs hold Krause, Chiu and Does 1 through 25 responsible because Krause allegedly took dozens of attorney-client communications and documents without consent and disclosed them to his wife.
The plaintiffs seek to enjoin the defendants, injunction against the defendants, order the defendants to return all of plaintiffs' confidential and trade secret information, all legal fees, and any other relief as the court deems just. They are represented by Richard J. Curiale, Christopher J. Keller, Joseph C. Wilson and Michelle T. Duval of Curiale Wilson LLP in San Francisco.
