SAN DIEGO – A Poway strength training equipment producer is accusing a Chino business of unauthorized use of intellectual patent rights.

Hoist Fitness Systems Inc. filed a complaint on April 3 in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of California against Tuffstuff Fitness International Inc. alleging patent infringement.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that it owns the '949 patent, which is titled Chest Press Exercise Machine with Self-Aligning Pivoting User Support and other patents regarding fitness equipment.
