Law money 02

SAN FRANCISCO – A former operation support worker alleges he is owed overtime wages and was unlawfully terminated because of his age.

Lance Jensen filed a complaint on March 28 in the San Francisco County Superior Court against California Physicians' Service, doing business as Blue Shield of California, and Does 1 through 100 citing California labor codes.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that he was employed by the defendants as a Level II IT Operation Support Worker from 2011 to 2016. The plaintiff holds California Physicians' Service and Does 1 through 100 responsible because the defendants allegedly failed to provide off-duty meal breaks, failed to provide itemized wage statements, failed to pay overtime wages, and terminated plaintiff's employment in a lay off due to his age and failed to pay all wages earned upon his termination.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks restitution, unpaid overtime wages, interest, all legal fees and any other relief as this court deems just. He is represented by Daniel Weltin of The Law Offices of Daniel Weltin in San Leandro.
