SAN FRANCISCO – A debt buyer alleges an Emeryville man failed to pay off a credit card balance.
Portfolio Recovery Associates LLC filed a complaint on March 28 in the San Francisco County Superior Court against Christopher Santos and Does 1 to 25 alleging failure to pay.
According to the complaint, Citibank/Best Buy issued a credit card to the defendant and that the plaintiff was later assigned the account. The plaintiff holds Santos and Does 1 to 25 responsible because Santos allegedly failed to make a payment on the credit amount despite plaintiff's demands.
The plaintiff seeks unpaid principal balance of $1,328.19, all legal fees and any other relief as the court deems just. It is represented by Emily Pierce, Jordan D. Cook, Lori N. Williams and Kristen L. Brinkerhoff of Portfolio Recovery Associates LLC in San Diego.
