SAN FRANCISCO – A Marin County consumer alleges the transmission in the Ford vehicle he purchased is defective.
Jack Rabin filed a complaint on March 29 in the San Francisco County Superior Court against Ford Motor Co. and Does 1 through 10 alleging fraud by omission and other counts.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that he purchased a 2013 Ford Fiesta in September 2015 that was under warranty. The suit states the vehicle has a Power Shift 6 transmission. The plaintiff holds Ford Motor Co. and Does 1 through 10 responsible because the defendants allegedly failed to disclose to consumers about the defective transmission of their vehicles and have failed and refused to promptly replace the plaintiff's vehicle or make restitution.
The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks actual damages, restitution, consequential and incidental damages, all legal fees, interest and any other relief as the court deems just. He is represented by Michael Devlin and Michael Resnick of Strategic Legal Practices APC in Los Angeles.
