LOS ANGELES – A La Puenta man that is the registered owner of a website is accused of infringing a Pennsylvania company's code for web spokesperson software.
Live Face on Web LLC filed a complaint on April 17 in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California against Gerhard Engel and Does 1-10 alleging copyright infringement.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that it suffered damages to its business as the result of its Live Face on Web code being copied. The plaintiff holds Engel and Does 1-10 responsible because the defendants allegedly copied plaintiff's LFOW code to advertise their business in their eCigarettes365.com website.
The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks enjoin the defendant, award damages to the plaintiff, all profits, income, receipts and other benefits, all legal fees, and any other relief as this court deems just. It is represented by Imran F. Vakil of Nexio PC in Costa Mesa.
