SAN FRANCISCO – An Illinois man alleges a San Francisco company did not hire him for a position because he was older than 60.

Michael McCarthy filed a complaint on April 3 in the San Francisco County Superior against Insideview Technologies Inc. and Does 1 to 40 alleging age discrimination.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that he interviewed for a position with the defendants in 2016 but was not offered the job. The plaintiff holds Insideview Technologies Inc. and Does 1 to 40 responsible because the defendants allegedly gave the position to a younger man who has lesser qualifications than the plaintiff.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks actual and consequential damages, front pay, benefits, back pay, general damages, punitive damages, exemplary damages, all legal fees and any other relief as the court deems just. He is represented by Robert W. Thompson of Thompson Law Offices, P.C. in Burlingame and by Kirk D. Holman of Holman Schiavone in Kansas City, Missouri.
