Woman alleges she was injured when she was struck by vehicle while riding bike

SAN FRANCISCO – A cyclist is seeking damages for medical expenses after she was struck by a vehicle in San Francisco.

Chiyo Uchida filed a complaint on April 4 in the San Francisco County Superior Court against James Hamilton and Does 1 through 10 alleging negligence and other counts.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that in June 2016, she was riding her bicycle on Market Street in San Francisco and was struck by Hamilton. The plaintiff holds Hamilton and Does 1 through 10 responsible because Hamilton allegedly failed to keep a proper look out while operating his vehicle.

The plaintiff seeks general damages, special damages, medical expenses, property damages, interest, all legal fees and any other relief as the court deems just. The plaintiff is represented by Michael O. Stephenson, Michelle L. Weiss and Kyle R. Smith of Law Offices of Michael O. Stephenson in San Francisco.
