SAN FRANCISCO – A San Francisco man alleges he was not paid for improvements he performed on a property.
Adam Barnum, doing business as Barnum Building & Design, filed a complaint on April 4 in the San Francisco County Superior Court against Gordon Whitehouse, Lindsey Whitehouse, JPMorgan Chase Bank, Guaranteed Rate Inc., Merscorp Holding Inc. and Does 1 through 100 alleging breach of contract.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that he and Gordon Whitehouse and Lindsey Whitehouse entered into a contract in September 2016 for improvements on a property. The plaintiff holds Gordon Whitehouse, Lindsey Whitehouse, JPMorgan Chase Bank, Guaranteed Rate Inc., Merscorp Holding Inc. and Does 1 through 100 responsible because the defendants allegedly breached their contractual agreement with the plaintiff by failing to pay him for his work.
The plaintiff seeks damages of more than $30,000, interest, service charges at 2 percent on unpaid invoices, the amount of $25,328.26, all legal fees and any other relief as the court deems just. He is represented by Neil H. Bui and Brian M. Junginger of McInernmey & Dillon PC in Oakland.
