State Farm Mutual Automobile Insurance Co. is seeking more than $2,000 from San Francisco

SAN FRANCISCO – An insurance firm alleges its insured was caused damage by a public employee and is seeking damages.

State Farm Mutual Automobile Insurance Co. filed a complaint on April 3 in the San Francisco County Superior Court against the city and county of San Francisco and Does 1 to 10 citing subrogation.

According to the complaint, an employee of the defendants negligently operated a vehicle and caused a collision on Aug. 6, 2016, in San Francisco with the plaintiff's insured. The plaintiff alleges it investigated the loss and paid its insured's claim and how seeks subrogation from the defendants.

The plaintiff seeks damages in the amount of $2,876.18, interest, all legal fees and any other relief as the court deems just. It is represented by Joseph M. Pleasant, Dana N. Meyers, James E. Delaney and Jenny R. Gong of Reese Law Group in Carlsbad.
