Woman alleges vending machine fell on her at Treasure Island Music Festival

SAN FRANCISCO – A festival attendee alleges she was injured by a vending machine.

Marcela Martinez filed a complaint on April 10 in the San Francisco County Superior Court against city and county of San Francisco alleging general negligence.

According to the complaint, the defendants had sent up a tent at the Treasure Island Music Festival in San Francisco that included a vending machine on Oct. 15, 2016. The plaintiff alleges she was injured when the vending machine fell on her because of strong winds. She alleges she suffered broken bones and deep lacerations. 

The plaintiff seeks relief for all losses associated with the incident. She is represented by Lee S. Harris of Goldstein, Gelman, Melbostad, Harris and McSparran of San Francisco.
