SAN FRANCISCO – A California contractor and its shareholders are seeking an injunction against an individual to stop the alleged videotaping of a property.

Arcon Construction Corp., Andrey Libov and Vladimir Libov filed a complaint on April 19 in the San Francisco County Superior Court against Alex Lyuber and Does 1-10 alleging invasion of privacy and other counts.

According to the complaint, Acron constructed a new residential building on Clara Street in San Francisco and began marketing it in February. The defendant resides nearby on Harrison Street, the suit states, and installed a video camera with a viewfinder that points directly into the residential unit at the rear of the Clara property. The plaintiffs hold Lyuber and Does 1-10 responsible because the defendants' videotaping allegedly is not privileged or for any legal purpose and that the defendants have failed and refused to halt it.

The plaintiffs seek a permanent injunction prohibiting and barring the videotaping, all legal fees and any other relief as this court deems just. They are represented by Daron D. Tong of Miller & Tong LLP in San Francisco.
