Collingwood Heights Homeowners' Association alleges roofs on condos were not properly installed

SAN FRANCISCO – A nonprofit corporation formed to manage a multistory condo development has filed a suit over several leaky roofs.

Collingwood Heights Homeowners' Association filed a complaint on April 18 in the San Francisco County Superior Court against The Lawson Roofing Co. Inc., Residential and Commercial Roofing Inc. and Does 1 through 10 alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that several condos suffered multiple roof leaks that resulting in full roof replacements.  The plaintiff holds The Lawson Roofing Co. Inc., Residential and Commercial Roofing Inc. and Does 1 through 10 responsible because the defendants allegedly failed to properly install the roofs the units.

The plaintiff seeks compensatory and consequential damages in an amount of more than $500,000, damages, all legal fees and any other relief as the court deems just. It is represented by Jeffrey B. Cereghino and Matt J. Malone of Ram, Olson, Cereghino & Kopczynski LLP in San Francisco.
