GoodData Corp. alleged to have interfered with former employee's FMLA rights

SAN FRANCISCO – A former employee for a San Francisco company alleges she was retaliated against for taking a medical leave.

Jessica Nobrega filed a complaint on April 18 in the San Francisco County Superior Court against GoodData Corp. and Does 1 through 10 citing the Family and Medical Leave Act and other counts.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that she was hired by the defendants in 2014 as a director, talent acquisition. The suit states she underwent a medical leave in August 2016 for surgeries, and that she was terminated on Sept. 20 of that year. The plaintiff holds GoodData Corp. & Does 1 through 10 responsible because the defendants allegedly interfered with the plaintiff's FMLA rights.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks economic damages, noneconomic damages, interest, statutory penalties, liquidated damages, exemplary damages, all legal fees and any other relief as this court deems just.
