SAN FRANCISCO – Three California residents allege they suffered physical and emotional injuries when a Southwest Airlines plane had to make an emergency landing.
Jacqueline Langford, Renee Flaggs and Aminah Flaggs filed a complaint on April 18 in the San Francisco County Superior Court against Southwest Airlines Co., and Does 1-50 alleging negligence.
According to the complaint, the plaintiffs were on a flight to San Francisco when the a tire blew on the plane, causing it to make an emergency landing in Arizona. The plaintiffs allege they suffered physical injuries when they were thrown about in their seats during the landing and feared that they were going to die. The plaintiffs holds Southwest Airlines Co. and Does 1-50 responsible because the defendant allegedly was careless in the operation, control, maintenance and inspection of the plane.
The plaintiffs seek money judgment; compensatory, special, and economic damages; interest; all medical expenses; punitive damages; all legal fees and any other relief as the court deems just.
