Law money 10

SAN FRANCISCO – A San Francisco company is facing a suit filed by Allstate on behalf of an Arizona woman over allegations that its negligence caused property damage.

Allstate Indemnity Co., as subrogee for its insured Luisa Rodriguez, filed a complaint on April 17, in the San Francisco County Superior Court against the Contextlogic Inc., doing business as Wish, and Does 1-20 alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, Rodriguez's residence suffered fire damages on June 18, 2016, from a fire that originated from the hoverboard manufactured, designed and sold by the defendants. The plaintiff alleges it paid $141,112.88 for the claim.

The plaintiff holds Contextlogic Inc. and Does 1-20 responsible because the defendants allegedly failed to exercise reasonable care to manufacture and design the hoverboard and provide appropriate warnings.

The plaintiff seeks amount that will compensate it no less than $141,112.88, all legal fees, interest and any other relief as the court deems just. They are represented by Christopher J. Brennan and Benjamin J. Branson of Bauman Loewe Witt & Maxwell, PLLC in Scottsdale, Arizona.
