SAN FRANCISCO – A bicyclist alleges he was injured when he was struck by a public employee in San Francisco.
Rudy Perez Mejia filed a complaint on May 17 in the San Francisco County Superior Court against city and county of San Francisco, Gilbert Mercadel and Does 1 through 20 alleging negligence.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on May 6, 2016, he was riding his bicycle on Market Street near 12th Street in San Francisco when he was struck by the defendants' vehicle. He alleges he sustained injuries. The suit states the plaintiff had filed a claim with the defendants in September 2016 and that it was denied that November.
The plaintiff seeks general damages, medical expenses, all legal fees, and any other relief as the court deems just. He is represented by Yosi Yahoudai, Jason B. Javaheri and John V. Bell of Javaheri & Yahoudai in Los Angeles.
