Ferry Building Associates alleges it is owed more than $77,000 in unpaid rent

Late 04

SAN FRANCISCO – The landlord of a San Francisco property alleges it is owed past-due rent.

Ferry Building Associates LLC filed a complaint on April 14 in the San Francisco County Superior Court against Canis Major LLC, Lauren Kiino and Does 1-100 alleging breach of sublease.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that the fixed term of a sublease terminated on May 31, 2016, and that Canis Major LLC failed to return possession of the premises. The plaintiff holds Canis Major LLC, Kiino and Does 1-100 responsible because the defendants also allegedly breached their agreement with the plaintiff by failing to pay rent.

The plaintiff seeks past-due rent, late charges, interest in the amount of $77,511.04, repair and cleanup costs in the amount of $2,896.63, interest of 10 percent per year, all legal fees of more than $8,000, and any other relief as the court deems just. It is represented by Kevin P. Montee of Montee & Associates in Walnut Creek.
