Mission Beach Cafe employees allege they are owed wages

SAN FRANCISCO – Current and former servers, a busser, a sous chef and a barista of a San Francisco restaurant allege they are owed unpaid wages.

Dylan Charles Germick, Curtis Schmelzel, Yari Bundy, Brian Casey, Rebekah Didlake, Doug Martin, Brad Murray, Cesar A. Maay and Zachary Seibert filed a complaint on March 27 in the San Francisco County Superior Court against Mission Beach Cafe LLC, Bill Clarke and Does 1 through 10 alleging violation of California labor codes.

According to the complaint, the plaintiffs allege that they were not issued timely paychecks or were issued checks with insufficient funds. The plaintiffs holds Mission Beach Cafe LLC, Clarke and Does 1 through 10 responsible because the defendants also allegedly failed to pay minimum or overtime wages to the plaintiffs or provide paid sick leave.

The plaintiffs request a trial by jury and seek restitution, minimum wages, liquidated damages, statutory penalties, all legal fees, interest and any other relief as the court deems just. They are represented by Anna Kirsch and Hina Shah of Women's Employment Rights Clinic in San Francisco.
