SAN FRANCISCO – A Japanese corporation alleges a Hayward business is infringing its patented LED technology.
Nitride Semiconductors Co. LTD filed a complaint on May 23 in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California against Rayvio Corp. alleging that the California business sells products that infringes plaintiff's patented UV technology.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that it is the owner of patent '270, titled Method for Manufacturing Gallium Nitride Compound Semiconductor and Light Emitting Element. The plaintiff holds Rayvio Corp. responsible because the defendant allegedly sells products that infringes plaintiff's patent.
The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks to enjoin the defendant, interest, all legal fees, damages and any other relief as the court deems just. It is represented by Daniel M. Radke of Latham & Watkins LLP in San Francisco.
